~ Japanese Surimono Woodblock Print of Two Japanese Women By Hokusai ~
A Surimono or woodblock print by the Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760 – 1849).
Hokusai was a Japanese artist, ukiyo-e painter and printmaker of the Edo period, best known for the woodblock print series ‘Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji’ which includes the internationally iconic print ‘The Great Wave off Kanagawa’.
The print is of two Japanese ladies, one standing with a rolled mat in hand, the other sitting next to a box.
The print is mounted, the mount marked with a logo for ‘The Stvdio’ and reads ‘Surimono by Hokusai’.
The piece is presented in a glazed frame.

The print measures 10cm (4 inches) by 14.5cm (5 ¾ inches).
The frame measures 21cm (8 ¼ inches) by 27.5cm (10 ¾ inches).
The piece weighs 420g.
~ Condition ~
There is a little foxing to the edge of the paper but the image is clean and undamaged.
The frame is in decent order.
