Description

~ 13th Century Bungo Kuni So Sada Hide Signed Wakizashi Japanese Sword ~

This sword is a Kamakura period piece. The blade is signed by Bungo Kuni so Sada Hide.

As can be seen in the pictures the blade has the expected signs of age on it but the NOTARE (waves) hammon is still visible, ending with an OMARU hammon tip.

The tsuba is decorated with gilded floral and insect motifs and a silver HABAKI

~ Condition ~

The blade has a number of nicks as seen in the pictures and areas of darkening and small pitting.

The scabbard is missing some elements as seen in the pictures. Please refer to the gallery for more condition report.

~ Dimensions ~

The length of the blade is 54 cm and the tang is 13cm long.
