A lovely quality Russian revolution period cigarette case mounted with 14ct gold.

The case is made of a light wood with a wonderful grain. It has rounded edges and a hinged lid. The lid is mounted with rose gold.

The gold is stamped with ‘56’ which is the mark for 14ct gold

It is also stamped ‘Нб’ and with a ladies profile facing the right.

‘Нб’ is the makers mark which translates as ‘NB’.

The ladies head facing to the right was introduced in 1908, prior to this she faced left.

The cigarette case measures 8.5cm by 9.5cm and has a depth of 1.8cm.

It weighs 37g.

~ Condition ~

The case is in a lovely condition with only some light scratches but no cracks or chips. The gold is in great condition with only a little wear to the hallmarks.
