~ 1827 Pattern Royal Navy George Vth Warrant Officer’s Sword with Scabbard and Sleeve ~
The ricasso has the proof star to one side and the words ‘E.W. Cracknell, Naval Outfitter, Portsmouth’. While it was supplied by this company, it is believed to be a Mole production sword. The number on its spine is 6267. The sword is complete with original black, leather scabbard and a modern sleeve.
The blade is quite tidy – no nicks and light pitting and blackening. The grip is in good order. The scabbard is free from dents and retains both its suspension rings. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
