The piece depicts a number of fishing ships/vessels sailing off from a coastline, the houses & factorys to the left side.

The watercolour is signed to the lower left hand corner “T.B.Hardy” & is dated 1890.

Thomas Bush Hardy (1842, Sheffield – 1897, Maida Vale, London) was a British marine painter and watercolourist.
