~ 1902 Birmingham Silver Collared Walking Stick by Jonathan Howell ~

A silver collared walking stick dated for 1902.

The stick is of wood with a handle of carved horn.

It has a sterling silver collar just below the handle with floral engraving and a blank cartouche.

It is hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham, 1902 with a makers mark of ‘JH’ for Jonathan Howell.

The stick has a length of 85cm (33 ½ inches).

It weighs 165g

~ Condition ~

The handle has a chip (see images for more detail) but this is old damage and has worn smooth over time.

The stick is free from damage but has lost its polished sheen over time but this is easily remedied.

The silver collar is in good order.

Overall the piece is in a very nice condition.
