This is a delightful bone china tazza with a broad piecrust rim and gilt detailing . The hand painted scene depicts a female Bullfinch bird resting on a twig with her mate flying in from afar. It is signed by James Stinton to the lower right.

The underside has the puce Royal Worcester back stamp and 13 dots for the year of 1916, the subject matter and also a mark for Robert Hogg Co. Ltd. of Belfast, an exclusive china retailer back then.

All in good order, the piece is free from chips, cracks and restoration.
