~ 1917 Pattern Shoulder Rank British Tank Corps Major’s Tunic ~
The tunic is complete with its original brass regimental tunic buttons, officers bronze collar badges, four blue overseas service chevrons to the lower right sleeve and the epaulettes majors badges.
The buttons are stamped o the reverse ‘Armfield, Birmingham’.
The tunic has a padded green silk lining.
~ Dimensions ~
The width from armpit to armpit is 19 inches (48.5 cm), the length from collar to waist is 31 inches (78.8 cm) and the waist width is 16 inches (40.8 cm).
It weighs 1.5 kg.
~ Condition ~
The tunic is in excellent condition for its age with a few small moth holes including on the right chest pocket, one on the left sleeve cuff area & one to the right of the lower left pocket. The padded lining has several tears including in the arm pit areas.
All buttons and badges are present.
