~ 1930’s Fleischmann Tinplate Clockwork Single Funnel Liner ~
The German model is of an Edwardian coastal liner.
The model has a single propeller, 4 lifeboats, original white paintwork with blue waist line, brown deck with white and light grey superstructure and blue funnels.
Other deck detailing includes gangway ladders and railings.
There are twin masts with red over white pennants plus two further tin flags.
The Fleischmann logo is printed on the port side of the bow in gold.
This is the pre-War version – they were also made post-war but those had “Made In US Zone Germany” stamped on the port side of the rudder.
~ Dimensions ~
The model has a length of 20 inches (51 cm), a width of 4 inches (10 cm) and a total height of 9.25 inches (23.5 cm). The height without the masts is 6.5 inches (16 cm). It weighs 925 grams.
~ condition ~
The liner remains in very good condition with only minor paint wear, only the rudder is quite worn to the starboard side. It is free from dents and dings.
The rudder protector requires re-soldering.
The clockwork mechanism runs smoothly.
A replacement key is included.
