~ 1951 Pelham Puppets – Type SS Boy ~

An interesting example of a Type SS Boy 1950’s Pelham Puppet with wooden legs, arms and feet and a metal head and hands. He has plain trousers, waistcoat and shirt.

The waistcoat has sewn yellow crosses, with the same coloured sewing around the tip of the cap. There are different coloured strings.

~ Dimensions ~

The puppet is 12 ½ inches (31.7 cm) long.

It weighs 185 g.

~ Condition ~

The boy has aged clothes but they present well.

The shirt has a few stains and the waistcoat has some tears but the rest of the clothing is in good condition.

The screw eyes are rusted and there is some loss of face paint but the woodwork is very fine.

The box seems to be correct but the owner has written on one end in pen. It is in fair condition for its age.
