~ 1968 9ct Yellow Gold Garnet & Quartz Flower Head Ring UK Size N+ US 7 ~
This is a beautiful ring of 9ct gold set with a single round-cut garnet and eight round-cut quartz stones in a flower head design.
The garnet is slightly larger than the other stones and is claw set to the centre. The quartz stones are claw set around the garnet and surrounding them is gold thread shaped to emulate petals.
The setting rests on a plain gold band with split shoulders.
The ring is hallmarked inside the band for 9ct gold, London, 1968 and is stamped with a makers mark of ‘S&K’.
~ Dimensions ~
The garnet measures 0.40 carats (4.5mm diameter). The quartz measure 0.07 carats (3mm diameter) each.
The ring is a UK size N+ which is a US size 7 (17.1mm diameter). It weighs 3.3g.
~ Condition ~
The ring is in very nice condition apart from one very small depression to the gold surrounding the stones, but this does not detract from the overall look. The stones are clear and bright.
