19th Century Deactivated Remington Falling Block Rifle

.50 cal, 35 inch barrel. Side fitted bayonet bar. Rear fixed ladder sight. Steel body with central falling block and hammer. Steel trigger guard. Polished wooden butt with steel butt plate/ Polished wooden forend with steel butt plate. Polished wooden butt with steel butt plate. Polished wooden forend with steel end cap. Three steel barrel band secured by steel springs. Steel clearing rod. Complete with current certificate.

*Condition*

The firing mechanism is in great condition and it is able to cock and dry fire. However the barrel has been plugged. There are no signs of decay on the wood of the rifle but there is general rusting on the steel areas. Please refer to images for more detail.
