~ 19th Century Japanese Satsuma Pottery Charger Hand Painted With Warriors ~

A fine large charger plate depicting a Samurai in full armour and helmet with two other warriors and an attendant. The palette is of a rich ochre, sand yellow and a grey blue with gilt highlights. It is wired on the back for wall hanging.

~ Condition ~

The charger is in very good condition overall. It is free from cracks and the front is very clear though there is glaze crazing. There is one chim to the rim that that charger stands on.

~ Dimensions ~

The charger has a diameter of 38 cm (15 inches) and is 7 cm (2.75 inches) tall. It weighs 2.67 Kg.
