A stunning brooch of 9ct gold set with green agate, small pearls and turquoise beads, purchased in Bond Street, London in the 1970’s.

It can be worn as a brooch or as a pendant as it is fitted both with a suspension loop to the top and with a pin clasp to the reverse.

The brooch has an oval green agate framed with an ornate, pierced 9ct gold surround set with four small pearls and four small turquoise beads.

Floral gold decoration is mounted to the centre of the agate, set with three more pearls.

The piece is fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, London, 1971 with the makers mark of ‘TAR’.

The pearls measure approximately 3mm in diameter each.

The turquoise beads measures approximately 1mm in diameter each.

The green agate measures 30mm x 23mm.

The brooch measures 40mm by 50mm

It weighs 16.5g
