This is a novox oxygen resuscitating apparatus, made by Siebe Gorman 1940-1960
This device has one oxygen cylinder with a valve fitted on top, a pressure gauge, a by-pass valve, a breathing bag containing lung-operated lever mechanism (with its protective tin case), the air admission tube and the face mask containing an air admission orifice shutter and an exhaling valve.
The outer blue painted leather layers of the box are secured by metal pins. These go around the edges of each side. The top layer is marked “25”.
The set is complete, with the original handbook (please refer to pictures).
*Dimensions*
The apparatus case is 25 inches (63.5cm) long and 7 ¼ inches (18cm) wide.
It weighs 14.92kg.
*Condition*
There are minor dents and light scratches around the case but the item is in good order.
The metal case has developed some surface rust but the item presents well.
The handbook has yellowed with age but overall the apparatus is in fair condition.
