~ Acrylic Painting Of HMS Nelson As At 1939 In Dazzle Paint ~
A bold acrylic painting of the battleship HMS Nelson based on a photograph taken in 1939. Nelson is firing 16 inch guns broadside whilst en route to Scapa Flow just prior to the outbreak of WW2.
The painting is signed by the artist. The signature is a little hard to make out but appears to be A.G. Grinnel with a clear date 1990.
The painting is presented in a glazed gilt frame. It comes with a modern HMS cap tally attached to the front of the glass.
It is presented in a gilt wooden, glazed frame.
~ Dimensions
The framed painting measures 32 inches (81cm) by 22 inches (56cm). It weighs 3.540 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The painting is in good condition as is the frame. The cap tally has been crudely attached with tape and glue which has run a little onto the glass, easy enough to clean up and remove though if you wish to.
