This charming model from World War One, is of a pair of British military binoculars. To one side is the town crest of Wellington. The eyepieces have gilt highlights around them. To the underside is the Arcadian back-stamp.

Wellington is a market town in Shropshire, England. Salop is an old name for Shropshire, historically used as an abbreviated form for post or telegrams. ‘Shrops’ is now used instead.

~ Condition ~

The piece is in very good order, free from chips and cracks. The crest is not rubbed. The gilding is good.

The piece is 7.5 cm (3 inches) wide by 6.5 cm (2.5 inches) tall.
