A lovely two compartment satinwood veneered tea caddy

The caddy has a tapered rectangular body with a hinged lockable lid.

The caddy is of boxwood construction with a satinwood veneer.

It has a hinged lockable lid (but no key) with green velvet lining to the inside.

The interior has two lidded compartments (without linings)

The lid of the caddy and the compartment lids have inlaid cable banding detail.

~ Dimensions ~

The caddy measures 8 ½ inches (21.5cm) by 4 ¾ inches (12cm) with a height of 5 ½ inches (14cm).

It weighs 895g.

~ Condition ~

The caddy has a few very light marks from age and use.

The veneer to the lid has a couple of small splits, but they do not affect the overall beauty of the piece.

Overall the caddy is in a very nice condition with a lovely pale colour and beautiful patina.

The key for the lock is missing.

The feet are of a metal imitating gilt brass and have been glued on to the base in recent years, but could easily be removed without damage to the satinwood.
