A great Birmingham silver cigarette holder/dispenser dating to 1952.

The piece is of tubular form with splayed base rim and knob handled lid.

The body and lid are of silver while it has a bakelite base and lining.

It is decorated with two bands of machine turned engraving to the silver body. The lid is plain.

The lid lifts up to reveal four compartment in which the cigarettes are held easy for dispense.

The piece is hallmarked to the body and lid for Silver, Birmingham, 1952 and has a makers mark of ‘J.G.Ltd’ for Joseph Gloster Ltd.

~ Dimensions ~

The piece has a diameter of 3 ¼ inches (8.5cm) and a height of 4 ½ inches (11.5cm).

It weighs 215g.

~ Condition ~

There is a little damage to the shaft of the handle but otherwise the piece is in a great condition with only very light wear and works perfectly.
