Boer War Commemorative Plate with the image of Lord Roberts. C1900

A commemorative Boer War plate with the coloured image of Lord Roberts (30 September 1832 – 14 November 1914) to the centre dressed in his red tunic and parade finery. The plate has a moulded scalloped rim accented with gold.

The plate has no markings to the rear but it has been designed with two holes to the base rim for hanging.

The plate measures 9.5 inches (24cm) and weighs 395g.

~ Condition ~

The plate is in good condition for its age. The piece is free from chips and cracks with only light glaze crazing. The painting is detailed and in a good state. The gold finish to the plate is good with little wear.
