~ Boxed Mettoy Tinplate Clockwork Mechanical Tractor With Driver ~

The tractor has a yellow and orange body, grey plastic engine, tin printed detailed balloon tyres, tinplate seat and plastic driver figure.

The tractor comes with the original box and original Mettoy clockwork key.

We would date it to around 1960.

~ Dimensions ~

The tractor has a length of 7.75 inches (17 cm), a width of 5 inches (12.5 cm) and a height of 5.5 inches (14 cm) (including driver).

The box has a length of 8 inches (20 cm), a width of 5.15 inches (13 cm) and a height of 4 inches (10 cm).

The total weight is 500 g.

~ Condition ~

The body is in very good order with minor wear, mainly to the wheels. The colours remain vivid. The clockwork mechanism works well. The drivers painted finish is worn in places.

The box is very worn and lacking flaps to one end.
