Description

~ Cased Sestrel Hand Held Bearing Navigation Compass ~

The compass has a metal housing atop a wooden grip. The actual compass floats within a water alcohol mixture and can be read by the glass prism.

The top flat of the compass is stamped Henry Brown & Son, Sestrel trade mark, No. 659418, Made In England and Barking & London.

The compass is housed in its original oak case with a glazed front panel which bears the manufacturers name and a brass carrying handle.

~ Condition ~

The set is in great clean condition, the compass works well and is free from bubbles.

~ Dimensions ~

The case is 31 cm (12.5 inches) long by 15 cm (6 inches) tall and 15 cm (6 inches) wide.

The compass is 23 cm (9 inches) long with a maximum diameter of 10.5 cm (4.1 inches).

The set weighs 2.7 Kg.
