~ Cased Set of 12 Silver & Harlequin Guilloche Enamel Coffee Spoons c1930’s ~
A lovely set of 1930’s sterling silver coffee spoons with harlequin guilloche enamel handles.
The spoons have simple silver bowls.
The handles have bi-colour enamelling to the upper edge; a central strip of coloured enamel over guiloche work with a plain
opposing colour enamel edging.
The spoons are all fully hallmarked for Birmingham silver and with the makers mark of Barker bros silver ltd
Six of the spoons are marked for 1932, One is marked for 1933 and five are marked for 1935.
They all bear the words ‘Sterling Silver’ also.
The set comes in its original leatherette hard case with cream silk and velvet lining.
~ Dimensions ~
The spoons each measure 11cm in length.
The case measures 17.5cm x 24cm.
The cased set weighs 425g.
~ Condition ~
The spoons are in a very nice condition. A couple have a little damage to the enamel, but this is minimal and only noticeable on close
inspection. The spoons present very well despite this.
The case is in good order with some spots of discolouration to the lining.
