~ Chinese Ming Period Han Style Nephrite Jade Cylindrical Vessel With Lid ~
A lovely hand carved jade cylindrical vessel with lid, this pot would have been used for ritual use, and during the Ming-period it was popular to produce such items in Han-style – in reverence to the glorious past.
The nephrite jade is a mix of green, brown and other variegated colours. A pot has a mythical creature with wings carved onto the face of the pot, the lid has another kind of beast carved on top resembling a dog like creature.

The base has a diameter of 2.5 inches (6.5 cm), the height with the lid measures 6.25 inches (15.8 cm) & the height without the lid measures 4.5 inches (11.5 cm). It weighs 770g
