    Description

    ~ Circa 1860 Barraud & Lund Mantle Clock ~

Here we have a simple and elegant mantle clock by the London maker Barraud and Lund.

The clock is decorated with a floral and scrolling pattern on the front of the clock and a beautifully finished mahogany case.

The clock face is enamelled with roman numerals and minute increments. The minute hand is treated steel, there isn’t an hour hand since this is a time only clock. The bell strikes for the hour.

The face is marked with the makers mark, where they are to be found and the clocks number and in order is ‘Barraud & Lund of Cornhill’, ‘London 2078’. This serial number dates it to the 1860’s.

The mechanism has also been signed with the same inscription in cursive script with an elaborately decorated ‘London’.

The back door of the clock is brass grillwork.

The clock comes with its pendulum.

    ~ Dimensions ~

The clock is 14 inches (35.5 cm) tall.

The clock is 13 inches (33 cm) wide.

The clock is 7 inches (18 cm) deep.

    The clock is 7.94 Kg.

    ~ Condition ~

The clock is in good condition for its age and it has been serviced.
