A circa 1910 dated fencing mask. The mask is of typical form, made from steel mesh with leather fixings & an elasticised leather strap on the reverse.
The piece was sourced from Aldershot Camp AKA Aldershot Garrison, also known as Aldershot Military Town, a major garrison in South East England.
~ Dimensions ~
The helmet has a height of 14 inches (35.5 cm), a width of 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) & a depth of 6.5 inches (16.5 cm).
It weighs 710 g.
~ Condition ~
The leather has dried and started to crack in areas, the steel is in good condition.
