Here we have an interesting piece, a screw topped rifle cane that appears to take a shotgun cartridge or a large bore rifle round.

The cane has a delightful polished handle and has a trigger concealed in the crook, the throat is nicely worked steel with a foliate design and the shaft is made from polished wood covered steel .

The trigger mechanism does not seem to work but I assume it falls into place when the cane is loaded.

~ Dimensions ~

The cane is 36 inches (92 cm) long.

The cane weighs 635g.

~ Condition ~

The cane is in good if used condition for its age with some chips to the grip.

The mechanism appears to not work without a cartridge inside.
