~ Elegant 1900s Brass Carriage Clock ~
A brass carriage clock by Swansea Goldsmiths, simple & elegant in design.
The white enamel face is modestly understated and features Roman numerals, black steel hands and, below, the manufacturer’s name printed in smart black script.
Very simple decorative columns frame the piece and hold bevelled glass inspection panels that reveal the clock’s workings.
These windows feature on each side and another can be found on the top beneath the swinging carriage handle.
~ Dimensions ~
It has a height of 4.5 inches (11.5cm) or 6 inches (15cm) with the handle upright, it has a width of 3.25 inches (8.5cm) and a depth of 2.5 inches (6cm).
The clock weighs 1kg.
~ Condition ~
The clock is in good working order.
The piece is in good presentable condition, all the glass is original and without damage.
There are only a few spots where the gilt has faintly eroded, most notably on the top surface (probably due to cleaning).
