Description

*Felix Sarasketa y Cia Eibar -Spain – 12 bore double barrel sawn off shotgun*

“Felix Sarasketa y Cia Eibar -Spain” is engraved on one side of the barrel. On the other are partially obscured proof marks that look lik ‘bomb next to BP, 900kp/cm”. The Serial number M6157 is engraved on the breech edge, (the deactivation certificate says M6158, which is likely a typo). “(12.70)” is engraved on the other breech edge and the letters “F.S.C” inside the breech. 12 bore. 13.125″ barrel.

Felix Sarasqueta made good quality utility, mid-grade and some high grade guns. The business was closed circa 1984. There were 4 Sarasqueta firms:
Victor Sarasqueta (later Rifles y Escopetas Especiales), VDA. E Hijos de J.J. Sarasqueta (widow & sons of J.J. Sarasqueta), Felix Sarasqueta y Cia, SA and Adolfo Sarasqueta. J.J. was Victor’s brother, Felix was a distant cousin and the relationship of Adolfo is unknown. They are all descendants of Bittor Sarasketa Suinaga (1864-1930) who was a master gunsmith who created and directed one of the largest arms factories in Eibar, in 1906. He was the supplier of arms to the royal family.

*Condition*
This is a beautiful shotgun with engraved silver details. The original bluing and engravings are in good condition, with nice checkering. Deactivated, Deactivated certificate included. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
