A Victorian chromolithographic print depicting the death of Lord Nelson on board HMS Victory during the battle of Trafalgar.

The print is based on an original painting from 1806 titled ‘The Death of Nelson’ by the American artist Benjamin West.

The print is mounted and in a glazed frame.

The frame has its original framers paper label to the back board.

The print measures 54.5cm (21 ½ inches) by 42.5cm (16 ¾ inches).

The frame measures 68cm (26 ¾ inches) by 57cm (22 ½ inches).

It weighs 3.75 Kg

~ Condition ~

There is some water staining to the top edge of the mount which has ever so slightly seeped onto the print, though the effect to the print is very minimal. The mount has some other slight marks but no major issues.

There are a couple of creases to the left hand side of the print, but again this is very minimal.

The print overall is in a very nice condition.

The frame is in decent order.
