~ French Brass Carriage Alarm Clock ~
A lovely French brass carriage alarm clock. The brass casing has developed a deep patina leaving it with a lovely matt brown finish which contrasts beautifully with the crisp white face.
The clock features two oval glass windows on the sides of the casing to reveal the working mechanism within.
To the top of the clock there is a simple carry handle. "Silent/Alarm" slider and a "Call/Bell" button. The call button can be used at any time and when pushed it rings the bell. By using the small pin at the back of the clock the alarm time can be adjusted, the small dial shows what time the alarm will go off. The alarm will only go off if slider is on “Alarm”.
To the rear of the clock is the speed adjustment and two keys for winding the mechanism and the hammer for the bell, there is another small pin for adjusting the hands of the clock.
~ Condition ~
The clock is in good condition. The metal case shows minimal wear and has a nice dark matt finish.
The glass is good condition and clean. The left hand side panel has a piece of glass missing but it is hidden inside the clock.
~ Dimensions ~
The clock measures 4.75 inches (12 cm) high, it is 3.5 inches (9 cm) wide and is 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) deep.
The clock weighs 645 grams.
