Measuring approximately 39cm x 30.5cm, (46cm wide including handles), this heavy nickel silver tray features a divided central panel and sturdy side handles, indicative of high-quality institutional or official service ware.
The front bears a crisp engraved Reichsadler (national eagle) clutching a swastika in a wreath, marking it as an item used by official Nazi organizations or high-level state facilities during the Third Reich. The underside is stamped "WELLNER 63", referring to the maker and pattern or production code. Wellner was one of the principal suppliers of silver- and nickel-plated tableware to Nazi government institutions, military messes, and party organizations.
