*German, WW2, NSKK Honour Dagger & Scabbard RZM M7/13 -  Arthur Schüttelhöfer & Co. (ASSO), Solingen-Wald*

An original German Third Reich NSKK honour dagger retaining its black-painted scabbard, nickel-plated fittings, and etched blade motto “Alles für Deutschland” (“Everything for Germany”). The dagger is fitted with the characteristic brown wooden grip inset with the nickel eagle and enamel SA/NSKK roundel, together with plated crossguards and pommel nut.

The reverse ricasso bears the correct late-period RZM contract mark “RZM M7/13,” identifying manufacture by Arthur Schüttelhöfer & Co. (ASSO) of Solingen-Wald. The blade retains visible factory crossgrain beneath areas of age-related staining and light surface oxidation, with the motto remaining clearly legible. The black-painted scabbard retains much of its original finish with expected surface scratching and handling wear consistent with period service and storage.

Approx. Measurements – Overall length: 34.8 cm. Blade length: 21.8 cm.

History Note:
The NSKK (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps – National Socialist Motor Corps) adopted the same basic dagger pattern as the SA, differing principally in the black-painted scabbard associated with the NSKK branch. RZM-marked examples such as this date from the later standardized production period following the introduction of Reichszeugmeisterei-controlled manufacturing regulations during the mid-1930s.

Arthur Schüttelhöfer & Co. (ASSO) was founded in Solingen-Wald in the early 1920s and received RZM code M7/13 in 1935 for the manufacture of political edged weapons including SA, NSKK, Hitler Youth, SS, Army, and Luftwaffe daggers. The company became one of the better-known Solingen RZM contractors during the Third Reich period.

*Condition*
Blade displays age-related greying, scattered spotting, runner wear, and light oxidation throughout, though the etched motto remains crisp and readable. Factory crossgrain remains partially visible. Grip is structurally sound with handling marks and minor surface wear but no major cracks observed. Enamel roundel remains intact with minor age wear. Eagle fitting remains present and secure. Crossguards and fittings show plating wear, surface dulling, and small areas of oxidation, particularly to the pommel nut. Scabbard retains original black paint with dents, scratches, scuffs, and localized paint loss from age and handling. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
