~ Ladies ‘800’ Silver Compact ~
A fine ‘800’ silver ladies compact of circular form with machine turned decoration.
The machine turned decoration is quite minimal but for a vertical ‘stripe’ with a different variation of pattern.
The pattern is the same to both front and reverse.
The inside of the compact is plain but for some gilt edging around the circumference to the upper and lower edges.
The compact is of ‘800’ silver which points it towards being European made rather than British made.
The ‘800’ silver mark is stamped to the edge of the clasp.
~ Dimensions ~
The compact has a diameter of 9.2cm (3 ⅝ inches).
It weighs 75g.
~ Condition ~
The compact is in a nice pre-owned condition with a little light surface wear and a couple of tiny dings but no real damages.
The clasp is a little stiff but opens and shuts as it should.
