~ Vintage Moorcroft Pedestal Bowl in the Clematis Pattern ~
This footed bowl has been decorated in the clematis pattern with a blue field. The flowers are of reds and purples with green foliage.
The bowl is impressed to the base “MOORCROFT MADE IN ENGLAND” and signed in green “W.M with three green lines.
Additionally to the base is a Royal Warrant label, it consists of circular paper label printed in purple. It reads “By Appointment W Moorcroft potters to the late Queen Mary”. This warrant was in use between 1953-1978.
~ Dimensions ~
The bowl measures 10.5 inches (27cm) in diameter and stands at 3.5 inches (9cm) tall.
This piece weighs 1.13Kg.
~ Condition ~
The bowl is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is light crazing to the glaze. The paper warrant sticker to the base in intact but has had masking tape applied over the surface. I have not removed this for fear of damaging the label.
