Written by the pre-eminent Victorian maritime artist and his wife, the text covers their Thames journey.
The sixty color illustrations by noted the British marine artist William Lionel Wyllie (1851 - 1931) have labeled tissue-guards. The book has a brown cloth cover with gilt lettering.
It was printed in 1905 by Neill & Co. Ltd. of Edinburgh.

There is foxing to the inner fly papers but the content is fine. There is wear to the cover, including bumps to the spine.

The book is 23.5 cm (9.25 inches) tall by 17.5 cm (7 inches) wide by 4 cm (1.5 inches) deep.
