Martindale Crocodile Machete and Leather Sheath

For sale is a Martindale Crocodile machete and sheath stamped ‘Birimngham’, ‘Made in England’. Unfortunately you cannot make out the date of this machete. It is thought that this originated from the mid-twentieth century onwards. The machete has narrow slab-sided two-piece black plastic grips which broaden slightly towards pommel. Grips are secured to tang by five recessed copper rivets with washers; the two rivets nearer pommel are arranged one above the other.

*Condition*

The machete and scabbard are in used condition. The blade does show signs of pitting throughout. The scabbard is still much sturdy and functional but does show signs of use. Please refer to the images as a part of our condition report.
