~ Moorcroft Hibiscus Pattern Bowl With Queen Mary Label ~
A lovely Moorcroft pottery bowl in the ‘Hibiscus’ pattern.
The bowl has tube-line decoration of hibiscus flowers and leaves hand painted in reds, yellow and greens on a light blue ground.
The underside of the bowl is marked with the letter ‘E’, the letter ‘P’ and has the impressed Moorcroft factory marks. It also has the Royal warrant paper label reading ‘Potters to the Late Queen Mary’ which was in use between 1953-1978.
~ Dimensions ~
The bowl has a diameter of 9 ¾ inches (25cm) and a depth of 2 ½ inches (6cm).
It weighs 725g.
~ Condition ~
There are some marks to the bowl but these are from the firing process and not damage.
There is a little crazing to the glaze to the rim but otherwise the bowl is in a very nice condition with very little sign of wear and no damage.
