~ Orchid Pattern Bowl By William Moorcroft Circa 1928/35 ~
A stunning bowl produced by Moorcroft. This piece has been decorated with a vibrant tube lined orchid design in purples, pinks and blues. Between the four main flowers are smaller powder blue ones, the design is set against a deep emerald green field.
The piece is signed to the base and stamped "Moorcroft Made in England" as well as "Potter To The Queen".
Theses back stamps date it to c1928-1935.
~ Dimensions ~
The bowl has a diameter of 10 inches (25.3 cm) & a height of 2.5 inches (6.3 cm). It weighs 705 grams.
~ Condition ~
This piece is in excellent condition with no signs of chips, damage or restoration. There is a production time bobble defect to the upper rim. The glaze has light crazing.
