The Lee-Metford rifle is a bolt-action, magazine-fed rifle that was adopted by the British Army in 1888. It was the first bolt-action rifle to be adopted by a major military power and was a significant advancement over the previous Martini-Henry single-shot rifle. This Lee-Metford would likely have had use in several conflicts such as the Sudanese War, Second Anglo-Afghan War and the Second Boer War.

The gun comes with original leather saddle holster.

*Condition*

This gun is in service used condition and the volley sights and magazine cut-off have been removed. The metal parts are pitted and there are various knocks and marks across the body. The butt has some slight movement. Saddle holster in great condition with some surface knocks and marks. It remains strong and intact with no significant damage.

The rifle comes with its deactivation certificate dated 16/06/2021.
