Original Trench Art British Mills Bomb

This is a British Mills bomb which is a type of hand grenade that was used by the British army from 1915-1972. They were the first of the modern fragmentation grenades. It has been mounted on a stand but the plug is still able to be unscrewed and some internal parts remain. An iconic piece of military history.
