Original WW2 Lee-Enfield Rifle No.4 MK1 with Spike Bayonet

This is a Lee Enfield No.4 Mk1 Rifle from World War 2. The No. 4 action was similar to the No.1 Mk VI but stronger and easier to mass-produce. Unlike the SMLE, that had a nose cap, the No 4 Lee–Enfield barrel protruded from the end of the forestock. For easier machining, the charger bridge was no longer rounded. The No.4 rifle was primarily produced for the United Kingdom, Canada and some other Commonwealth countries including New Zealand. This particular Lee-Enfield is dated 1943 and has plenty of stamps and proof marks. Under the barrel “HF2” has been marked by an owner of the weapon. A new bayonet was designed to go with the rifle: a spike bayonet, essentially a steel rod with a sharp point, nicknamed “pigsticker” by soldiers. This rifle comes with a detachable spike bayonet and scabbard (included in price).

*Condition*

This No.4 rifle is in excellent condition with clear stamps all over. There are very few knocks and marks across the gun and the strap is also pristine. The gun cocks, the trigger can be pulled and the magazine is removable.
