~ Pair Of Staffordshire Figure Groups ~
An unusual pair of circa 19th century Staffordshire figure groups.
The pieces each depict a person (one with a man, one with a woman) in period dress, sitting on what seems to be bridge with a swan below and a dog in a dunces cap by their side.
The figures are of white porcelain with gilt details and splashes of colour in parts and feature blue flower like detailing in the bridge arches.
The figures have flat backs with some texturing but no detail.
~ Dimensions ~
The figures each measure approximately 12cm (4 ¾ inches) wide and 20cm (8 inches) tall.
Together they weigh 1.07 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The male figure has a couple of very small hairline cracks but these are fairly insignificant.
Both have slight imperfections from the manufacturing process which is quite normal and both have a little wear to the gilt in parts.
Both also have a little damage to the delicate blue floral detailing but as this is quite ‘messy’ in style the damage does not really show.
As a pair they are in a nice condition for their age and present very well.
