~ Post WW2 Yugoslavian MP 49/57 sub-machine gun ~
The M49 submachine gun is a Yugoslavian submachine gun chambered in 7.62×25mm Tokarev, designed for use with the Yugoslav People’s Army. While externally similar to the PPSh-41, as well as being able to interchange magazines, the M49 is actually very different in both construction and design.
The M49 is a select fire weapon, with the selector switch being located immediately in front of the trigger, within the trigger guard.
Our example is deactivated to the EU/UK standards with a moving bolt and removable magazine. The trigger moves as well but is disengaged from the action.
The SMG is serial numbered P18092 and marked on the top of the receiver with the Yugoslavian crest and type of gun.
The wooden stock is serial numbered 18092.
