Description

~ Prussian Model 1855 Pioneer Fachinenmesser Sword ~

These swords were carried by specialist pioneer troops, designed with a heavy, machete type blade for carrying our utility work, and a ribbed brass grip.

The brass guard is marked 107.R.1.9, and the ricasso bears the mark of the crown.

~ Dimensions ~

The entire length is 61cm, with a blade length of 48cm. The width is 12cm, and it weighs 1kg.

~ Condition ~

The overall condition is good, with minor denting to the brass grip. The blade has rust on one side, and shows some signs of pitting.
