With original leather bellows, heart shaped Oak end panels, leather handles, brass throat and neck attaching to a copper speaker tube.
Built to Captain Key’s patent, these bellows were produced by the well-known firm of Birmingham engineers for the Admiralty. In 1900, 104 examples were dispatched to the Naval Dockyards of Deptford, Chatham and Devonport.
A very nice decorative historical piece.
In good condition for its age, however the strap on at the end of the handle is broken and the one way leather flap is damaged internally so they only work if you block the intake holes when pumping for the sound.
