~ Royal Observer Corps Cap Badge ~
A scarce original post 1941 to 1952 large silver plate badge with pale blue enamel circlet 'Forewarned is Forearmed' and 'Royal Observer Corps', surmounted by a King's Crown, the centre depicting an Elizabethan coastwatcher holding a flaming torch and scanning the horizon.
