The Mosin-Nagant, also known as Mosin's rifle, is a five-shot, bolt-action military rifle with an internal magazine. It commonly uses the 7.62×54mmR cartridge. Developed from 1882 to 1891, it saw service in the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union, and other countries. With over 37 million units produced since 1891, it's one of the most widely manufactured bolt-action rifles in history. Despite its age, it remains in use worldwide due to its reliability, simplicity, accuracy, and ability to be fully disassembled with a bayonet.

The M44 is a shorter and more compact version of the Mosin-Nagant rifle. It was developed during World War II to provide Soviet infantry with a shorter and more maneuverable firearm for close-quarters combat. The Model 1944, replaced the model 1938 in late 1944. After the war, production continued in various Soviet and Eastern European arsenals, including in 1954, to support military and police forces. One of the distinctive features of the M44 is the folding bayonet attached to the barrel. This bayonet could be folded out for use or folded back against the barrel when not in use. It was a practical addition for military purposes. The permanently attached side-folding cruciform-type bayonet, was a unique design feature at the time.

*Condition*
This rifle is in excellent condition. It has the dings and knocks commensurate with its age and service. It is fully deactivated, the magazine can be loaded, the trigger does not move. Please refer to the images as a part of our condition report.
