    Description

    ~ Sealed Airfix Vertol 107-II 1/72nd Scale Aircraft Boxed Kit 1963 – Unopened ~

The model was made by Airfix Corporation of America Aircraft Series in 1963.

This is a 1/72nd scale model and it is housed within its original series 2 illustrated box. The models serial number is ‘1302-70’.

These U.S. Editions were all issued boxed, with new Artwork, a different stand design and quite often moulded in different colours to the U.K. editions.

Original editions in this condition are becoming increasingly rare to find.

    ~ Vertol 107-II ~

The Boeing Vertol Sea Knight is a medium-lift tandem rotor transport helicopter. It is used by the United States Marine Corps to provide all-weather, day-or-night assault transport of combat troops, supplies and equipment. Additional tasks include combat support, search and rescue (SAR), support for forward refueling and rearming points, CASEVAC and Tactical Recovery of Aircraft and Personnel (TRAP). The Sea Knight was also the U.S. Navy’s standard medium-lift utility helicopter until it was phased out in favor of the MH-60S Knighthawk in the early 2000s.

    ~ Dimensions ~

The box has a width of 8.2 inches (21 cm), a depth of 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) and a height of 1.2 inches (3.2 cm). The set weighs 75 g.

    ~ Condition ~

The box is unopened and undamaged.
