~ Sevres Style Urn Vase With Ornate Ormolu Mounts Porcelain Table Lamp ~

The French style lamp has an ornate scrolling design and cartouche
depicting a floral scene and a lady in a continental dress from 18th century.

The vase is supported by an impressive ormolu stand as well as having
ormolu decorative mountings around the porcelain body and top.

The age of the piece is unknown but the wear on the gilt on the handles
shows the piece has some age. It was probably converted from a vase into a lamp in the mid-20th century (after looking at the electrics) but the vase is probably late 19th century.

This is an impressive piece in an attractive “royal” blue colour with
contrasts of white gilded handles and cartouche.

~ Condition ~

The vase is in excellent condition. There are a few very minor losses to the glaze as well as wear to the gilt, principally on the handles. The piece will need rewiring by a professional electrician to ensure safe use.

~ Dimensions ~

The vase  has a height of 52 cm (20.5 inches) and a width across the handles of 25 cm (9.75 inches).
